Our nurseries offer a wide range of unique activities and extras to enrich every child’s experience at nursery and to support busy parents.

Forest Gardens – Our wonderful forest gardens give little ones the chance to explore, take risks, develop independence and self awareness alongside trusted adults. Imagination and creativity are enhanced by the activities that are promoted using natural materials aswell as discovering what other creatures share our outdoor areas with us. Forest areas provide a wonderful way for children to witness, first-hand, how the world changes through the seasons.

Eco Schools – Eco Schools is a the largest sustainable schools programme in the world and is designed to encourage action on sustainable development education issues. Our children love getting invloved in their Eco Schools projects and learning about how to help protect the environment.

Cooking & Baking with Chef – Wherever we can we encourage children to partake in preparing their meals at nursery. We love to see children take pride in their culinary creations and enjoy healthy and delicious food.

Language Classes – Our pre-school children are given the opportunity to explore another language through weekly lessons with our visiting teachers.

Nursery Teachers – We are lucky to have our own Nursery Teachers who work closely with our children and their key workers to ensure that children make good progress within all aspects of their development in readiness for school.

Crèche – Our Cumbernauld crèche is a stay and play session where children are involved in play experiences, and developing social skills.

Holiday & Out of School Clubs – We keep busy with lots of games, arts and crafts, exercise and play at our holiday and Out of School clubs.

Interactive Smartboards & E-Learning Journals – Our Interactive Smart Boards and E-Learning Journals offer exciting and stimulating learning experiences tailored to challenge and engage little ones. Our E-Learning Journals allow parents to see their child’s progress and keep up to date with what they’re up to every day at nursery.  We have an online Learning Journals system where our staff upload observations and pictures. All of the observations are linked to what each child has learned from their experiences.

A-Star Sports – A-Star Sports delivers inclusive developmental sports coaching for our children. Building on a fun ABC-based foundation (agility, balance and coordination), children are introduced to and develop skills for ten core sports.

Bounce & Rhyme – We love attending Bounce & Rhyme time at the local library. Sessions are filled with action, songs, rhymes and stories that help children’s literacy and numeracy development.

Caterpillar Music – the team at Caterpillar Music brings fun, music, action, songs, puppets, instruments and exciting activities to our children at nursery.

Children’s Hairdresser – Our on-call hairdressers understand that a haircut can be a scary thing for a little one! They make things easy by visiting your child in the safe and familiar environment of the nursery.

Delivery Acceptance – We accept your courier deliveries to make things that little bit easier for busy mums and dads.

CBeebies – We offer regular trips to CBeebies and participate in Story & Singing Time as well as testing out new programmes and looking around the studio at BBC.

Bi-lingual Staff – We are lucky to have bi-lingual staff who are able to support children in their first language, or in exploring new languages. This not only helps children settle well into nursery, but also provides opportunity to better understand and celebrate children’s cultures and heritage.

Drama Class – Our drama classes encourage confidence and creativity in all of our rising stars!

Enjoy-a-Ball – The Enjoy-a-Ball programme gradually develops sports-specific skills and confidence across ten ball sports in a caring, positive and fun environment.

Footytotz™ – These are physical play sessions which are based on the use of footballing skills and relate to all aspects of the EYFS.

Graduations – We celebrate the big move to primary school with a special graduation ceremony each year—caps, gowns, the works!

Fundraising – Taking part in fundraising activities helps children to learn about others that are less fortunate than themselves and understand how we can help them. Fundraising events are good fun and are a great way to get children, families and communities together. Some of the fundraisers we have taken part in are; sponsored toddles, superhero days, baking cakes to sell and garden parties.

Gardening Days – We all pull together for a big day in the garden at our nurseries, preparing for new seasons and enjoying some sunshine!

Halal Food – Our chefs cater to various cultural dietary requirements, and are happy to accommodate your needs.

Jo Jingles – Provides our children with fun, interactive music, singing and movement classes.

Monkey Music – Monkey Music’s visits to nursery are designed to nurture a lifetime’s love of music. From rock ‘n’ roll to ding-dong, classes are tailored to fit each age group.

Nursery Animals – Taking care of animals provides our children with a great sense of responsibility whilst developing empathy and social skills. Caring for animals can be a very calming and relaxing experience for children as well as an opportunity to assess risk. This provides many vital learning opportunities and skills that supports children’s transition to school and adult life. Children name, feed and care for nursery pets.

Music & Movement – Music & Movement bring us wonderful themed classes that encourage children to improve their balance and spacial awareness, increase self confidence and have lots of fun! Parachutes, ribbons, percussion instruments balance beams and lots more are integrated into classes.

Swimming Lessons – We help children become confident little swimmers with regular lessons at the local pool.

Music Teachers – Regular visits from a music teacher support our children in exploring and developing a love for music.

Nursery Library – We believe that reading should be lots of fun so we run a mini library service to encourage children to share their favourite stories with their parents, and to help busy parents keep the bookshelf interesting at home!

Physical Development Stars – Physical Development Stars is a programme that supports children’s movement for a minimum of three hours per day in line with government guidelines. Our practitioners look at ways everyday routines and activities can be adapted to encourage fine and gross motor physical development in a fun way, limiting the time that children are sitting down. Allowing children to be more active has been proven to have a positive impact on children’s behaviour, sleep patterns, sense of well being, weight, muscle development, reading and writing skills, amongst many other benefits.

Sign Language – Sign-along’ is a programme that all children can take part in. For deaf children, this helps them to feel included, settled and eases communication with other children and adults. However, the skill of signing from an early age benefits all children as it can ease frustration for children who are not yet talking, support social interaction and communication, as well as develop fine motor skills that support writing later on.

Sensory Rooms – Sensory rooms are calm and tranquil spaces that support children’s sensory stimulation through the resources and experiences provided. Sensory stimulation – touch, taste, smell, sight and sound – is vital for young children’s brain development as the experiences children are instinctively seeking help them to make connections that become stronger over time developing their neural pathways. Supporting children’s sensory experiences from birth have a long-lasting impact on the adults they become.

Soft Play – Perfect for youngsters, our soft play areas allow little ones to explore and play in a safe environment whilst promoting vital aspects of physical development.

Pyjama Drama – Pyjama Drama provides children with exciting classes that help to develop key social skills such as confidence, concentration, co-operation and creative problem solving.

ZooLab – ZooLab helps excite our children’s curiosity and covers many subject areas within the national curriculum by introducing children to all sorts of animals, big and small!

Yoga – “Tatty Bumpkin” is a lovely rag dog who takes us on adventures where children can learn different poses and stretches while exploring their imagination. Children learn about physical activity, turn taking and participation while having lots of fun.

Soccer World – Soccer World’s coaching sessions are designed to develop each child’s awareness, ability and involvement through fun games, exciting skills and matches.

Song & Dance Factory – We love visits from the Song & Dance Factory! Our children develop their creativity, confidence and movement skills through these fun and energetic classes.

Sparkle Arts – Using fun props, costumes, puppets, and musical instruments, Sparkle Arts bring a different theme to life each week at nursery through music, dance & drama.

Christmas Shows – We celebrate Christmas by putting on a wonderful Christmas show for friends and family each year. There’s always much excitement in preparing for the show as we learn songs and organise our special dress ups.
