Team Leader. Maternity Cover, Temporary Role.

An exciting opportunity has become available for you to join our family at Enchanted Forest Erskine, working as part of the Award Winning Bertram Nursery Group.

We believe it is important that children feel comfortable in their nursery and as such, our staff are trained to comfort children, to offer them endless cuddles and surround them with the security of a loving nursery environment which becomes an extension to their home.

The Role

Your role within the nursery establishment will include:

  • All aspects of the nursery daily routine
  • Providing quality care to children from birth to five years
  • Administrative duties relating to the care of the children
  • Being involved in planning and evaluating activities
  • Developing your own skills & knowledge in effective child-care practice
  • Leading and motivating your room staff

About you

The role requires the successful applicant to be a positive role model and an enthusiastic individual who holds a similar passion for inspiring early years learning. We are looking for a good communicator and someone who has a true desire in wanting to work with children.

You will have:

  • SVQ 3, HNC or equivalent
  • Good practice and work in a positive manner
  • Great knowledge of supporting the running of a nursery setting
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety and Safeguarding standards for children and staff
  • Excellent relationship building skills with all key stakeholders, children, parents, staff, etc
  • The experience and capability required to supervise and motivate a team
  • First Aid, Food hygiene, and Safeguarding training (can be provided)
  • A desire to continue learning and developing your skills
