About Us

We follow ‘Pre-Birth to Three: Positive Outcomes for Scotland’s Children and Families’ for our babies and our new nursery provides the excellent setting for our skilled staff to engage babies in sensory and heuristic play.  As children grow we follow the Curriculum for Excellence in providing planned activities and experiences that enrich and further promote individual development. We very much focus on a culture of ‘learning through play’ which allows children to learn through experimenting and experience as this is the way they learn best.

With a large, state of the art natural play area accessible from the nursery rooms, staff take any opportunity to have the children involved in outdoor learning. Learning can be improved and enhanced when children are engaged in a new setting and our new nursery has invested in extensive resources to ensure that outdoor learning is also fun!

An amazing opportunity has come available to work at our wonderful nursery setting in Enchanted Forest, Robroysten for an Early Years Practitioner to join their already fantastic team.

The Role:

Your role within the nursery establishment will include

  • Managing your room and all aspects of the nursery daily routine
  • Providing quality care to children from birth to five years
  • Administrative duties relating to the care of the children
  • Being involved in planning and evaluating activities
  • Developing your own skills & knowledge in effective child-care practice
  • Motivating and following up with your team

About you

The role requires the successful applicant to be a positive role model and an enthusiastic individual who holds a similar passion for inspiring early years learning. We are looking for a good communicator and someone who has a true desire in wanting to work with children

You will have:

  • SVQ 3, HNC or equivalent in Early Years Education and Care
  • Desire to further develop your skills and qualifications
  • Good practice and work in a positive manner
  • Experience of leading a team is desirable but not essential
  • One year’s experience with children aged 0-5 is desirable but not essential
